As our campus fills with the colorful blooms of the spring season, excitement is building for another outstanding graduating class at Adelphi. I’m thrilled to announce that this year’s Commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient is humanitarian and entrepreneur Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of Chobani. Our community will be inspired by his self-made career story and the leadership, compassion and philanthropy he models.
This month I’m proud to share that a unique nursing and social work program at Adelphi won the John L. Blackburn Award from the American Association of University Administrators. We also highlight the return of our study abroad programs, the flexibility of our MS in Business Analytics and the terrific career of Dean Jacques Barber, PhD, who is retiring after 12 years of leading the Adelphi University Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology.
We are gearing up for our annual Giving Day on April 19 and Research Day on April 25. Our Giving Day will celebrate 1,896 minutes of giving in honor of our founding year, and I hope you will join us in transforming students' lives and building a brilliant future together.
All the best,
