Message From the Provost

Squid Game x KFC. Post Malone x Oreo. Doritos x Taco Bell

“Collabs” are everywhere these days, but at Adelphi we’ve been doing them for years. We believe that collaboration across our academic disciplines not only amplifies our faculty’s research and creativity, but also creates fertile ground for student learning. After all, the problems we confront in our lives and societies do not neatly fall into a single disciplinary category.

In this edition, we highlight some intriguing collaborative efforts our faculty members have undertaken that explore what happens when dance meets computer science, when musical composition crosses with creative writing, when the sciences come together to speak a common language, and when educational and community organizations work in tandem to inspire a love of physics.

Some of the most exciting and groundbreaking ideas happen when we work together and get out of our silos. Let’s commit to collaborating more.

Sincerely,

Christopher Storm, PhD
Provost and Executive Vice President
