Dear Friend,
Attending the 128th Commencement on May 21 was such a privilege, and I was so inspired by the smiles of our graduates and their families! While the year they started at Adelphi, 2020, is etched in our minds forever, they've also benefited from a resilient University community that has shaped their journey and supported their success. I’m confident they will carry these lessons forward, joined by their Adelphi family and 121,000 fellow alumni.
We had the honor of hearing from two of our distinguished alumni—Eduardo Vilaro ’85, artistic director and CEO of Ballet Hispánico, and Patrick O’Shaughnessy, DO, MBA ’13, president and CEO of Catholic Health—who received honorary degrees and delivered memorable Commencement addresses.
Congratulations to all our graduates and to our men’s and women’s lacrosse teams. The women's team advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championship game and the men won their eighth NCAA Division II National Championship with more than 200 alumni cheering them on in Philadelphia, and family and friends welcoming them back to campus. What an exciting time for our dedicated student-athletes, coaches, athletics staff and lacrosse alumni.
I'm glad we have so much to celebrate, including a beautiful start to the summer. Enjoy this month’s newsletter, and I hope to see you back home soon.
With Panther pride,
Megan Stewart
Director of Alumni Relations

We had a fantastic month hosting events with our campus partners and alumni. Highlights included a successful women’s golf clinic, thanks to Coach Bill Bresnan and his team. Our alumni wine tour returned with great success, featuring Sparkling Pointe Vineyards & Winery (hosted by Cynthia Rosicki ’82 and Tom Rosicki) and Sannino Vineyard (hosted by Lisa Sannino, MS ’01, and Anthony Sannino), along with delicious offerings from Briermere Farms. Our alumni educators event brought together a diverse group of teachers, administrators and leaders for an evening of engaging conversations and networking.
