Margaret Cassidy, PhD, professor and chair of the Department of Communications, was quoted in an October 3 article in HuffPost titled “5 Habits That Have Been Wiped Out By The Internet.”

Robert Goldberg, James F. Bender Clinical Professor of Finance, was quoted in an October 31 article in Fortune titled “What is the federal funds rate? Understanding the Fed’s tool to beat inflation.”

Katie Laatikainen, PhD, professor of political science and director of the Levermore Global Scholars program, was quoted in a September 21 article by the Associated Press titled “At UN, despite global morass, hope peeks through the gloom.” This article was distributed widely, including in U.S. News & World Report, The San Diego Union-Tribune and The Washington Times.

Kees Leune, PhD, assistant professor of mathematics and computer science, was quoted in a September 9 article in Newsday titled “Suffolk probing possibility of ransomware attack on county systems.”

Grant Recognition for Research Excellence
Grants are a vital source of funding for research and creative work, and an important validation of the significance of faculty scholarship. Adelphi University faculty members continue to successfully earn grants for important projects, from archaeological exploration and social work education to research on sports sciences and healthcare policy.
