Dear Friends, Colleagues and Students,
I'd like to extend a warm welcome from the Adelphi University College of Nursing of Public Health (CNPH). Our campus is vibrant with beautiful flowers, bunnies and birds, and most importantly, our wonderful students!
As I complete my third year as dean of CNPH, our faculty and students continue to amaze me with their dedication to teaching, learning and scholarship, and to the promotion of health and wellness for all populations. We strive to build upon our strong foundation while embracing new initiatives, a few examples of which are highlighted in the stories below—from the approval of our new Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Doctor of Nursing Practice program to our faculty's innovative use of artificial intelligence to focus on communications best practices.
Our students continue to immerse themselves in nursing and healthcare. You'll read about amazing students in our student nursing organizations and their significant contributions to our College and community, as well as a hands-on global healthcare experience in the Dominican Republic during spring break led by Assistant Professor Kattiria Gonzalez, PhD.
At the end of each academic year, we have many opportunities to reflect on the deep connection CNPH has with our friends and alumni. We are truly blessed to have dedicated donors who provide generous scholarships to many of our students—and our Annual Awards Reception, also featured in this newsletter, is a heartwarming opportunity for students to meet and thank their donors. We are grateful to all who have supported our students in any way, including through many generous gifts on Giving Day.
We love hearing from our extraordinary alums and invite you to share your updates and good news with us. Email us any time, or better yet, visit our beautiful campus or attend a future event. |
