Adelphi University New York
From My Desk President Christine M. Riordan

Dear Friend,

Happy New Year! After a rejuvenating holiday season, Adelphi University enters 2025 with enthusiasm for the spring term and our bold vision for the future. We can’t wait to welcome back our students and faculty in a few short weeks.

I'm proud to kick off the year with some inspiring stories from our exceptional faculty, students and alumni. At the height of college and professional football playoffs, one professor is earning national coverage for his unconventional approach to preventing head injuries. During National Mentoring Month, we highlight the impact of Adelphi’s University-wide mentoring programs. Our Institute for Adolescent Trauma Treatment and Training is providing interventions to thousands of children struggling with trauma. A talented pair of twin sisters shares how Adelphi has supported their academic and athletic journey. And Adelphi University Board of Trustees Chair Emeritus Michael J. Campbell ’65 shares why he is passionate about giving back to the University.

I look forward to sharing our progress with you throughout the year as we continue to pursue the ambitious goals of our Momentum 2 strategic plan. I wish you a happy, healthy and rewarding new year ahead.

All the best,
