Dear Friend,
Summer is in full swing and I hope you enjoyed your Fourth of July celebration with family and friends. Here at Adelphi, excitement is already building for the fall semester as our hardworking staff prepares to welcome another exceptional class of incoming students and host some of our favorite signature events.
Meanwhile, more great stories of leadership, inclusivity and student success continue to inspire us daily. I’m proud to introduce Adelphi’s latest Fulbright Scholar and three other recipients of prominent academic awards. Our next Newman Civic Fellow joins a long list of Adelphi students to receive this impactful service-learning opportunity. We shine a spotlight on the incredible student-athletes behind our historic achievements this year and on a professor who launched a new mentoring initiative to prepare students from underrepresented communities for college. And finally, I’m thrilled to share that the Adelphi University Board of Trustees welcomed five new members who are proud alumni with a wealth of experience to guide us forward.
Our community continues to grow stronger, more connected and more diverse. I encourage you to join us at our annual President’s Gala in September as we celebrate all our recent accomplishments and unveil more extraordinary plans for the future.
All the best, |
