From My Desk President Christine M. Riordan

Dear Friend,

As we kick off the Spring 2024 semester at Adelphi, our recent graduates have given us an exciting reason to celebrate their success. The University’s latest outcomes report shows that the Class of 2022 is earning salaries that far exceed the national average—an achievement that illustrates the value of an Adelphi degree. I’m incredibly proud of their hard work, the exceptional mentorship of our faculty and our strategic efforts to create direct pathways to rewarding careers.

I’m also happy to share stories this month of the programs, professors and experiences that make this student success possible. One dedicated faculty member helped propel a talented student toward a career with NASA. Two other professors developed an innovative program to train culturally competent teachers. Two graduate student-athletes share what it takes to lead their teams to the NCAA tournament while excelling in the classroom. And finally, the Adelphi University Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology celebrates a historic 60 years
of postgraduate programs.

We’re proudly celebrating Black History Month at Adelphi with art exhibitions, conversations, music, events and experiences throughout February. Join us as we uplift the culture and influence of the Black community on American society. And mark your calendar for our Women’s Leadership Conference in March—a powerful and inspiring networking event during Women’s History Month.

All the best,
