Catholic Health President and CEO Receives Prestigious AACSB Influential Leaders Award and Inspires Students at Honors and Awards Event
Patrick O’Shaughnessy, DO, MBA ’13, president and CEO of Catholic Health, was presented with an AACSB Influential Leaders Award at the Willumstad School’s annual honors and awards reception and ceremony, which took place on April 27. Students who were awarded scholarships, inducted into honor societies or received other accolades celebrated their success and were inspired by Dr. O'Shaughnessy's message as the keynote speaker.

Two Museums Project Brings Students to Washington, D.C., to Explore the History of Racism and Antisemitism
David Machlis, PhD, associate professor of finance and economics, led this unique program in which a group of primarily Black students and Jewish students visited the National Museum of African American History & Culture and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to understand and determine how to fight racism, antisemitism and intolerance. Adelphi spoke with Dr. Machlis prior to the trip and a reporter joined the group and wrote about this powerful experience for Inside Higher Ed.

Accounting Networking Social Thursday, September 28, 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Ruth S. Harley University Center, Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom Representatives from accounting firms will be on campus to meet with accounting students to discuss opportunities, including leadership programs, internships and full-time jobs. Insights From Experts: Doing Well While Doing Good Thursday, November 9, 3:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m., Campbell Lounge, Rooms 3 and 4, Center for Recreation and Sports (CRS) An industry expert from a nonprofit and a certified B Corp will each share their insights on how corporate social responsibility efforts have benefited their respective companies.
