Spring 2026 |

As the days grow longer and the campus comes alive with the colors and energy of spring, I’m reminded of the remarkable spirit that defines our community. This season of renewal offers us a chance to reflect on the progress we’ve made and to celebrate the many accomplishments that continue to inspire us.
Over the past months, we’ve seen outstanding achievements across our classrooms, programs and initiatives. From innovative speaker series and academic achievement, to meaningful community engagement, our students, faculty and staff have demonstrated a shared commitment to excellence. These successes are not only milestones—they are stepping stones toward an even brighter future.
Spring also invites us to look ahead with optimism. Exciting opportunities are on the horizon: new projects, collaborations and events will further enrich our community and expand what’s possible. Whether it’s welcoming new students, launching bold ideas or celebrating milestones, there is much to look forward to.
Thank you for the energy, dedication and passion you bring each day. Together, we continue to build something truly special—and the best is yet to come. |

Two Adelphi initiatives are turning determination into careers. Last year, scholarships supported by the M&T Bank Amplify Fund and from The Audacia Foundation Inc. and 1199SEIU let Adelphi create partnerships that are preparing students for careers in high-demand healthcare and social services fields. We catch up on their impressive progress, one year in. |

Adelphi has received a $25,000 grant from The New York Community Trust – Long Island for the project “Learning to Healing for Our Community: A Healthcare Career Pathways Initiative”—a workforce development program designed to expand access to in-demand allied health careers while addressing the barriers adult learners face. Eleven students will receive partial scholarships for certificate programs—like clinical medical assistant, phlebotomy technician, EKG technician and electronic health records management—and robust wrap-around support from our team of advisers, an element proven to improve completion and employment outcomes.
Targeting high school seniors, immigrants and adult learners connected to local nonprofit partners, the program emphasizes cohort-based learning, individualized advising and embedded career services to reduce isolation, strengthen persistence and ensure job readiness. By integrating academic, professional and employment support, the initiative transforms the learning experience into a guided pathway from training to certification to career, while offering opportunities for college credit advancement. |

For Giving Day 2026, Help Students Finish Their Degrees |
|
Adelphi’s Finish Line Program helps former students return to complete their degrees through the College of Professional and Continuing Studies. Gifts to the Carole Sabino Scholarship Fund provide the tuition support many students need to finish what they started.
By making a gift between now and April 23, you can double your impact. For Giving Day 2026 (April 22–23), Jennifer Lancaster, PhD, dean of CPCS and executive director of the Manhattan Center, will match $2,500 in donations to help more students earn their Adelphi degree |
